Located in Abbotsford, BC, Oso Manufacturing is a small, family-owned business with deep roots in Mexico, dating back to the early 1900s. Oso’s founders, the Reimer family, wanted to honour this history through their company, so they chose the name “Oso,” which translates to “bear” in Spanish. Oso Manufacturing is growing, and they’re currently seeking two hardworking, reliable, and detail-orientated Production Workers to join their close-knit team.

Oso is seeking applications from experienced Production Workers with recent experience working with wood and power tools. Applicants must have worked with, or in an environment with, machinery such as milling and drilling machines, bandsaws, and mitre saws.

We are seeking applications from people who have a demonstrated ability to chop lumber to length and stack on a rack; laminate (nail) wood; mill grooves; drill multiple different sized holes (in order); plane wood; assemble finished products; and organize and move lumber and finished products using a forklift.

We are seeking Production Workers who take great pride in their work and the environment they work in, someone who can maintain a clean shop while meeting timelines, and who demonstrates care in their work and towards those they work with.

Oso is looking for self-motivated team players who will compliment and strengthen their existing team, people who will collaborate with the team and maintain pace and quality standards when working to tight deadlines.

Other essential skills and experiences Oso are seeking in our two new Production Workers:

  • Manufacturing experience and an ability to work well in a manufacturing environment
  • Self-motivated person who takes the initiative
  • Detail-focused, quick learner; someone who collaborates with others and self-corrects if they notice they could perform a task better
  • Forklift experience
  • Drivers Licence
